Meet the Keynote Speakers
We are thrilled to welcome Radha Weaver, a visionary artist and advocate for sustainable creativity, as she shares her transformative journey from fast fashion to slow stitching and the power of embracing authenticity in art.
Joining her is Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer, acclaimed poet and author of One Hundred Falling Veils, who will inspire us with her heartfelt exploration of joy, grief, and the art of showing up through poetry.
-
Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer has been writing and sharing a poem a day since 2006—a practice that especially nourished her after the death of her teenage son in 2021. Her daily poems can be found on her blog, A Hundred Falling Veils, or a curated version (with optional prompts) on her daily audio series, The Poetic Path, available with the Ritual app. She is the author of Exploring Poetry of Presence II: Prompts to Deepen Your Writing Practice, and her poetry album, Dark Praise, explores “endarkenment,” available anywhere you listen to music.
Her most recent collections are All the Honey and The Unfolding. In January 2024, she became the first poet laureate for Evermore, helping others through this platform to explore grief, bereavement, wonder, and love through the voice of poetry. Themes in her writings include parenting, gardening, the natural world, love, thriving and failure, grief, and daily life.
Her three-word mantra: I’m still learning, and, if limited to one: Adjust.

Radha Weaver is a textile artist, sustainability educator and small business strategist based in San Francisco. She balances all that serious stuff with a fair bit of silliness, and shares her work without judgement.
Her unique expertise and passion for sustainability was fueled by a 15-year career in the apparel industry where she travelled the world, visited denim factories in China and Bangladesh, and unfortunately had a front seat to the rise of fast fashion. Weaver used to create new jeans but now at Sewing through Fog she helps keep those same jeans out of a landfill through classes and patterns to help others re-purpose and reuse their own – as well as thrifted – denim.
She teaches classes online and in person, has a monthly newsletter and can be found at https://www.sewingthroughfog.com.
