The seven elements of contrast and relationship – color, value, size, shape, texture, style, and theme – can be manipulated in a myriad of ways to make compositions fascinating visual pieces capable of telling mesmerizing stories. I’ll talk about each element and provide examples from actual art work. Once you are aware of the these attributes you will be able to intentionally introduce them into your own work – with satisfying and exciting results.
